Introduction
The plantings here are the most recent in Australia as there is no history of viticulture prior to 1989. However the potential is as inspiring. Initial vintages show just how cool the region is. If the results to date are an indication, only the warmer years will produce red wines showing typical trademarks of cool-climate style.

Primary Wine Styles

Chardonnay
Chardonnay heads the white grape plantings by a significant margin. The wines are superior and elegant with excellent intensity.

Sauvignon Blanc
Crisp, grassy, herbaceous wines, very different but have attractive touches of gooseberry and passionfruit.

Shiraz
The wine quality and style is elating, with cherry, black pepper and spice flavours, medium bodied with frequent use of French oak.

Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot
The wines have scent of herbaceousness reminiscent of Bordeaux style with natural tannin levels.
